Dahil sa umulan ng bandang hapon nag sikip nanaman ang daloy ng trapiko sa EDSA. Particularly the Northbound lane. Galing ako ng Makati, and I had to decide kung mag MRT ako or mag taxi going to Gateway Mall. But I realized that I will be difficult to convince a taxi driver to get me to the Cubao area where Gateway Mall is.
I decided to take the fastest and probably the most cheapest transportation the MRT. Sumakay ako ng jeep going to Guadalupe station kasi ang Buendia will take you a life time bago umalis ang jeepney. The moment we get off the over pass in Buendia, it was not really bad. But when we were near the Guadalupe bridge, you will start to see red lights all over the place. Parang barado ang kalsada at puro pulang ilang ng mga kotse, bus, etc. ang makikita mo. To me it looks like it is not moving at all.
I got in to the MRT station, and what do you know. These people working or from this area really knows how to deal with the traffic situation. I can say that because they flocked to the station, as in maraming tao sa flat form area. I told to my that they all don't want to deal with the traffic situation in EDSA too. Having said that, the train that came in was really jam packed. I guess I am still lucky, the next train that arrived was carrying less passengers, it was more convenient.
Kelan kaya mag babago ang situation ng traffic sa EDSA? Sana mag maging maganda at mabalis ang traffic flow sa EDSA or gawing mag advanced and reliable and train system like in other countries.
